Few people know, but there is an easy way to predict whether your advertisement will succeed or not.
It is a "double test" .
Imagine that you are a potential client for your business. Look at your ad. Glance over it as your potential customer would.
And if the ad makes you read it again...that means it's a good ad.
It has to cut through clutter, grab your ideal customer by the throat and make them read it to the end.
Here's how you can do it:
Modern problems → mystical solution
Ads are everywhere. Everyone wants your attention and the market has never been more competent than it is today.
For this reason, we've gotten pretty good at filtering out the ads we're not interested in. We have no other choice.
It sounds like this is bad for us…but it's actually a great thing.
All you have to do is become a marketing wizard.
How to become a marketing wizard
You don't need a magic board. No need to draw signs on the ground or learn black magic from witches. You don't even have to climb the Himalayas to study with an ancient monastic order.
The whole process is much simpler.
The only thing you need to sharpen is your imagination.
And here are the quick steps:
Imagine that you are your ideal customer. Think about what happens to you every day. What the world looks like to you.
Imagine what message would get through to you as a customer. What words, sentences, promises, guarantees would "wake" you up. They made you pay attention.
These 2 steps are the foundation of any successful marketing campaign.
And why is this so powerful?
Because most marketing is "mass marketing", the same boring messages that businesses send out to the world in the hope that someone will stumble upon them and buy.
Here's an example:
Get out of the middle ages of marketing
Look at any real estate agency anywhere in the world. It's amazing how everyone uses the same messages.
It doesn't matter what the language is. It doesn't matter which country it is. Everything is the same. And here's what it looks like:
"If you want to sell your house, call XXX"
If they are a little more creative, they say:
"If you want to sell your house, call XXX for a free estimate"
This message has been the same for 100 years and will most likely remain the same for the next 100.
This is a bit sad. We are human beings. We should constantly evolve and make things better. And not to stand in the same place for centuries.
But many industries are still in the marketing middle ages.
They are doing the same things they have been doing for decades, hoping and praying that things will get better, like serfs once upon a time.
A step towards the future
Let's move to modern times and ask ourselves:
"If I were planning to sell my house, what would attract my attention."
And we will get the answer:
"Do you want to sell your house for the best possible price? Download our free guide in which you will discover 4 secrets of how to sell your house for a significantly higher price."
These are some of the problems that customers face. This is the reason why such marketing messages would get you significantly more responses than "Call us and we will try to sell you something".
They don't do things like that anymore.
Put yourself in the shoes of your potential customer and you will abnormally improve your marketing powers.
Try it, you won't regret it.
